On 5th December, children from Cold Harbour and Two Mile Ash schools, dressed as santas, visited Council leader Peter Marland and Deputy-leader Lauren Townsend in the Mayor's Parlour at Civic Offices.

After talking about why they enjoy cycling to school, the children presented Christmas cards and invited the leader to join the Cycling Santas event in CMK on 13th December. Cllr Marland apologised for being unavailable.

Ann Shrimpton, Co-chair of Cycling Citizens MK who accompanied the children with former Mayor Marie Bradburn, said: "The Cycling Santas ride is always a highlight of our year, bringing together families and cycling enthusiasts to celebrate cycling in MK. This year, we're not just riding for festive fun, we'll be highlighting the need for safe cycling infrastructure that works for everyone. We've been told by the authorities that there isn't a safe way for us all to cycle through CMK."
