Parent Jenna Hulbert, who has a home in Wolverton and a son at Haversham Village School 2 miles away, had an idea. Let's cycle it. Then another idea. Let's cycle in a group.

Jenna spoke to other parents and set up a pilot 'Bike Bus' to ride into school from Wolverton every Wednesday morning from May to July. This involved wearing hi viz and pumping out toons from a mobile speaker en route. Quite a sight and sound. Result: children and parents attracted to join the bike bus. On rides in July up to 15 people joined.

"It’s been amazing and I’ve learnt a lot," said Jenna. "We will be back early September."

This pilot follows successful pilots in other schools including Two Mile Ash and Bushfield. If you'd like to start one at your school, contact organiser@cyclingmk.org, tel 07962 838685.
